That's what they are calling it...Snowpocalypse, Snowmageddon, and Antarcticbama. Ha ha. These pictures are at the local Wal Mart on Sunday after church. You can see that there is NO milk, NO eggs, and NO bread. Seriously? Insanity. It has been pretty major. I'll admit that I thought it was gonna be bunk. I thought that there were gonna be some flurries and an inch or two...but, no, we had THUNDERSNOW and about 10 inches of snow. We've established my weather-geek-ness and so to see thundersnow 2 times in my life is crazy! I love thundersnow - it's like this unbelievable phenomenon. It shows God's mightiness, in my opinion...it's like a metaphor for Him...you have this beautiful peaceful whiteness falling silently and blanketing everything with perfection, but then you have a little wrath thrown in with thunder and lightening. Maybe I just read WAAAAY too into it :) Nevertheless, I love it and think it's a crazy phenomenon and am proud to have seen it again!
So, snowpocalypse came on Sunday night and we opened our home to some of my work friends who had to work on Monday since we live so close to the hospital. There were a total of 5 girls plus me, Jimmy, and W. We were cramming people in beds, on air mattresses, and on the couch! Fun times. We safely made it to work Monday thanks to Sarah's 4 wheel drive :) People were spending the night at the Hospital for a few days. I worked 3 shifts in a row to help out a girl that lives far away...thank the Lord that Jimmy had borrowed Papa's truck, so we had 4 wheel drive to transport us to work the rest of the days! Whew. I was tired, tired, tired....but, we did get to do a little playing on Monday :)
I know y'all are hatin' on the brilliance of sledding on a trashbag in OR boots at work. Ha ha!
I currently have a 3 year old climbing on me and talking incessantly, so I can't tell if this makes sense or if it's even a decent post...I had more to say, but it's gonna have to wait....aah, the life of a mommy!!! ;)
