Really, what I would love is a full night's sleep - and then some. I want to sleep a crazy, inappropriate amount. You know, the kind of sleep when others wonder if you're okay because you have been asleep so long? Yeah. That kind of sleep. But, then reality strikes, and I realize that it's impossible - mainly because I AM the food source for baby C. Aaaah. Sigh. So, since those are just dreams...here's what I'm truly diggin' right now.
Yes! Investigation Discovery. Along with recaps of the debates and replays of football games, Investigation Discovery is our bff while we are awake for untold hours bouncing, feeding, rocking, and trying to coax this kid into sleeping. Occasionally it's a little too morbid & we have to change the channel, but the mysteries are amazing and keep you entertained - when really all that you want to see is the inside of your eyelids.
THE MOBY WRAP. Yes. Where has this little gem been all of my Mommy life? I can't get enough of this bad boy. I rocked this to the Pumpkin Patch and to W's bday party - who knew? Baby C was happy as a clam and I could participate in events surrounding W...and manage to eat some chicken fingers and some cake. Awesomeness. And...I will admit that I'm slightly germ-a-phobic this time around - I think it's from how the whole beginning of her life went down; so the Moby keeps people from touching all up on her ;) Good stuff. Plus, I feel kinda cool and hippy-ish. I think I may rock some braids in my long flowy hair next time I wear her...
RTR y'all :) :) Love the Alabama Crimson Tide! This is shaping up to be an awesome season. Plus, being in the terrible, horrible newborn stage, football Saturdays give me something to look forward to - AND, you know that time flies during football season! I love that our whole little family rocks their Bama gear on gameday and I love that my friends and I - and my Daddy - all text during the games with our opinions and excitement.
Another 'where have I been' moment....I LOVE this show! Maybe it's Adam Levine. Naw, it's just the show itself. These little singers are so good - and, you'll all be glad to know that I have escaped from the 90s and early 00s and downloaded some TODAY music that I've heard on this show :) Proud, huh? For the record, I'm also diggin' the show "Nashville" - mainly because I LOVE Connie Britton - even though she will always be Tammy Taylor to me ;) - and I want to have Hayden Panetierre's body and complexion. Good show. It will probably be cancelled bc I like it. Ha.
Katy Perry - "Wide Awake" - totally diggin' on this song right about now.....I haven't even watched this video - so hopefully there's no porn on it or anything crazy.
Lecrae - Jesus Music - makes me wanna ride with the top down and listen to Jesus music. Diggin' on it right now. Again...hopefully no porn - I haven't watched the video.
Black leggings - boots - big shirts - YES! If I have to be postpartum fat girl with a tumor that is bigger than a fetus, then at least big stuff is in style right now. Gotta take the little blessings. So, don't laugh when you see me wearing black leggings everyday until I get this tumor outta there and start running again...and then I probably still will wear them :)
Those are a few of the things that I can think of off the top of my head. I also love my Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag, my friends who have been bringing us meals, and egg custard made with love by my chef Momma. I love water - mainly because I am nursing and I'm thirsty like the wolf. I'm so thirsty that I'd even resort to Deer Park water. Those who know me, know that's a big hairy deal - since I call it Deer Poop. Ha ha. :)
